Baby Nate

Well, Amanda did not have her baby last blog. They kept giving her medicine, but it never induced her labor or made her dilate anymore than a 1/2 centimeter. So, yesterday the doctor gave her an option to try the medicine again or she could have a c-section. She had a c-section and baby Nate was born at 4:11PM. He weighed 5 lbs 3 ounces. I have yet to see him because I had a really bad migraine.

Yesterday I finally went and re-changed my major and signed up for this quarter’s classes. My major is now Microcomputer Specialist, same as Court’s. I have more of the classes for this major done. I have like 6 classes to take to be able to get a degree for this class. Yippee. This semester I’m taking CIS122: Computer Installation and Maintenance, CIS127: Word Proccessing and Desktop Publishing, and CIS2229: Advanced Database Techniques. I think these classes should be pretty easy. Next semester I need to take Visual Basic. I talked to the teacher and he said I shouldn’t have any trouble as long as I devoted the 10 hours it takes to really get the class each week at home as I would in school. So I’m prepared. I also need to apply for financial aid so I’ll get the Pell Grant since in two quarters, my HOPE Grant will be gone. Grrrr. That freaking sucks. That means ALL college expenses will be out of pocket since they put a cap on the hours HOPE paid for. Stupid legislatures. I swear if America turns out to be even more dumb it’ll be their fault for not providing adequate financial aid for people to FINISH their major instead of paying 3/4 of the way through and then capping the hours. That’s such bullshit.

Yesterday after we went to sign up for classes, Court signed up for the same classes as me by the way, we went to Sears to pay off my mom’s Sears card. She recently bought a washer and dryer and she had a year of no interest so she has been saving up to pay it off in full once the year was up, and she did. Also, yesterday she bought me and Court a new cordless that had a cord phone with it and a built-in answering machine because we have a service through Bellsouth that we dial *98 and the message waiting indicator stopped working on our phones so we NEVER know when we have messages unless we religiously dial *98. So, we’re gonna cancel our service through Bellsouth and use the new answering machine! Also, we got a new alarm clock which plays the radio and then has some earth sounds to it like the rainforest, the ocean tide, and frogs. Hehe. We got baby Nate some onesies as well! Court picked them out so I’m sure she’ll like them since they’re not girly! We went to Red Lobster to eat after that. My gawd that place is expensive. Cost me, my mom, and Court $65 to eat there, but we had an appertizer and desert. Oh well, it was good. Ya’ll should try their Aztec chicken and Boston tea. The tea is like regular sweet tea with cranberry juice mixed in and comes with an orange slice which if you squeeze the orange juice in your drink it tastes even better. Yum!

Amanda … baby is coming!

Hey everyone! I got my haircut today! It looks pretty good! I got my blonde and auburn highlights redone as well. Now my hair is all blended and my natural highlights show up alot more! I finally have my hair how I want it!!

On the way home, Amanda called me and told me the baby was coming. So now, I am home long enough to grab a bite to eat, fix my step-dad’s lunch, and take him to work before heading up to the hospital! I hope Amanda understands, I don’t want her to be upset with me because I wasn’t able to come up there right when she called but I’m doing the best I can do! I swear, I’m so stressed and anxious you’d think I was in labor but I’m excited to see my godchild!!

So with that said, I better go. I’m taking my digital cam so if little Nate is born, I will post a pic!! See ya’ll!

Change of major .. AGAIN

Hey everyone! Welp, I have decided to change my major back to something computer related. Heh! I know, I probably seem all wishy-washy but I just don’t want to drive all the way to Polk County (30 minutes away) to attend night classes for this major. If I really want to be a teacher, after I get my computer degrees, I’ll attend Georgia Highlands and get a teaching degree. I called the college today to make sure I was able to do this. I felt kinda embarrassed because I really feel like a ditz for swapping my major one week and the next, I’m swapping to something else. So now, my major is Microcomputer Specialist .. which is basically anything and everything computers. So, we’ll see how this goes. I have almost all of those classes done except five needed for graduation. So wish me luck!

On site news, for the life of me, I couldn’t get the skins with the cookiecheck to work for the comments field on my site, so I swapped back to WP themes. Well, they weren’t swapping. I talked to Miranda and she helped me realize what I had done. My cookies change http://miss-kate.com where the navigation was to http://www.miss-kate.com so http:// and http://www. set different cookies so I had to edit my site/blog URL in WP and voila! All fixed! So now Miss-Kate is OFFICIALLY open! I will be adding the www section soon so I can accept link exchanges. Also, sweet-cheeks will be coming down soon so I can revamp. I’m uber excited. Also, I have an upcoming TCG for WB shows, so I’ll keep ya’ll updated on that.

Also, I’ve been kinda slacking the past few days because I’ve been playing Nightlife. I still need to burn a copy of Sims University and Nightlife for Mo! Oh yes, I got my final grades back … I made a big fat A so hell yeah! I have a 4.0 for this semester which should bring my overall GPA up! Hooray! So now I’m stress-free!

Well, I’m tired and need to get some sleep. I have a haircut, bills to pay, and a major to change tomorrow all before noon and I have some mad cramps right now so maybe some sleep can help! Have ya’ll tried those heat patches from cramps? I did the other night and it blistered my skin! Grr!! Well my haircut appointment is at noon and my step-dad has to be at work by 7 PM and we start cooking around 4 PM for him so we have to go early in the morning to get all our errands done. Fun, fun. Miss-Kate is … OFFICIALLY OPEN! :)

Hey everyone! Yup, I am officially open! I’m so happy! lol. So here’s what has been going on lately..

First off, obviously I got a new domain. I’ve had this domain registered for a while but too lazy to put it up until now. This domain is my blog and TCG’s and my collective. It’s the me domain. I still own and am keeping Sweet-Cheeks which will now be a content domain. I have lots of goodies in store for that domain. So stay tuned.

I’ve had a lot of time the past few days.. Courtney went home for the weekend to spend time with his family. It’s kinda funny because I thought I’d be super lonely without him. I mean, I do miss him but I’m not as lonely as I thought I’d be. I never knew how big my bed was! Hehe! And now, I have nothing to do or no one to talk to so I’ve been playing John Deere American Farmer and Sims 2 Nightlife. John Deere American Farmer is actually a cool game .. well I guess it is to me since I like farms and such. Sims 2 Nightlife is pretty cool as well. I am glad I got them.

He left on Thursday so early Thursday we got up and went to sell back our old college books so I could buy a game and rent some movies. I didn’t think we’d get much back so I brought some extra money. We sold back three books and got like $105.00 back which is alot more than I expected. My design books don’t get much resell value .. dangit. So we bought The Sims 2: Nightlife, Need For Speed Underground 2, and John Deere American Farmer from EBGames. Then we went to Blockbuster and rented Guess Who, Fever Pitch, and The Wedding Date .. total chick flicks. Since we still had a little bit left over, we went to China Lin and had a nice lunch. It was really nice to spend the day with him. I love my babe and I am glad he is getting to go home and spend some time with his family.

Another big update, I’ve decided to change my major in college until this spring quarter. At my college you can only have one major at a time, so I changed mine to Early Childhood Education and Care until spring quarter when I’ll change back to Web Design and finish my last two classes. I’m excited. I’ve always wanted to be a preschool teacher, I just majored in web design since that’s basically what everyone thought I should do. I’m still getting a web design degree since I didn’t work this hard for nothing, I can do that on the side or use it as a fall-back career. Either way, I’m happy.

Well, that’s really all for now. I need to hit the sack in a few minutes.. I have a lot of cleaning to do tomorrow. I figured I’d go ahead and get everything neat and clean the way *I* want it before Court gets back. Much love! <3
