Ohhh, money!

Hey everyone! Well, I am not only a Sales and Marketing Rep for the WBA, I am also the Director of Sales and Marketing. Haha. The boss called that afternoon and asked me to be the director and I accepted. I also went to that other interview and it didn’t go too hott. So I basically didn’t get that job because they hired someone who knew their internal software so they wouldn’t have to train them. So oh well! That’s fine with me since the place was not air conditioned and I really didn’t feel like sitting there in the freaking hot!

At my work, I have a desk and my own computer. I’m just waiting on the internet hook-up since we gotta sale some more ads before we purchase a usb wireless internet hook-up for my computer. So that’ll be done by the end of this week. Last week I brought home $120 and that was just for 3 days. Not too shabby, eh?

Basically, that’s all I have to say. I gotta get dressed and head to Blockbuster with Court. It’s the weekend and I want nothing more than some down time with some DVD’s. So later ya’ll!!

For the love of the game …

Hey everyone! Well, I don’t know about the bank teller position but I am officially a Sales and Marketing Rep for the WBA … aka World Basketball Association. Fun, fun. I basically go around to businesses and get them to sign up and purchase ads/sponsorships for the two local WBA basketball teams and then earn commision off of that. Basically for every $100 ad I sell which I can sell alot at once, I get $20. My brother on the other hand has a $400 ad sold for me. Cha-Ching! That’s $80 in my pocket for like ummm five minutes of my brother running his mouth. Thank you Bubba!!

I have another interview on Monday that I really really REALLY want. It’s 40 hours a week starting at $10/hr guaranteed but more with experience. It’s at J Supply which supplies mills and textile stuff to companies but basically all I do is purchase supplies we’re low on and find any supplies that are lost/not where they are supposed to be. I sit in an office and do all that stuff. I think I’ll do good with that job and I love solving puzzles which basically if something is not where it needs to go, it’s a puzzle.

No word back on the legal secretary! Maybe I’ll hear next week, who knows! Well, just thought I’d post a quick update. Bye ya’ll.

Job Hunting Take 1!

Hey everyone! Sorry for going MIA. I’ve been busy lately. Well, I have some sorta big news… I am job hunting! Yes indeedy, Kate needs a job. I took the whole summer off to be lazy and have fun and now I’m bored as heck. The kids started back school last week so this week has been so boring it’s not even funny. I really hope to find either a secretary position or adminstrative position. I’ve only applied at two jobs so far. I applied to be a Legal Secretary and a bank teller. I have an interview for the bank teller position this Thursday and I just e-mailed off my resume for the Legal Secretary position a few minutes ago. I’d prefer the secretary position since it’d be full-time and I could get some good experience and possible become a paralegal if I want to. I still will be doing web-design and web-hosting on the side. So, wish me luck!!

Now for the bad news! The other day Court (who is a MAN! lol) was at Daniel’s house helping him fix his truck. About 10 PM they had to take Andrea (Daniel’s wife, aka my buddy) to work and Court stepped off their front porch onto a nasty screw that was in Daniel’s engine. Eww. So needless to say, Court has a hole in his foot and it could be infected. Not to mention, he might have hit the bone when he stepped on it but right now we’re too poor to have it x-rayed. So hopefully I’ll get a job and in the next week he can have it x-rayed. Gaw, I really need a job. I want something to fill my time with!!

Well, that’s really all for now. I gotta go help cook dinner so I’ll return comments later tonight. I plan on updating the site some as well. In the meantime, everyone hope I get one of these jobs … hope more for the secretary job so I can still get online. Lol. j/k! Bye ya’ll.
