Sassy

Filed: daily life

I’m tired, cranky, and depressed as hell. The past three nights I’ve gotten about maybe eight hours of sleep total. Sassy, our dog, has been having a bad seizure and we had to take her to the vet. I’ll go more in depth to that later, for now I have to take her back to the vet. It’s time to say goodbye and I don’t want to. Does that make me a bad person? I know it’s selfish to pray for her to hold on even though I know she’ll never be the same. I love you, Sassy. I know that you’ll be in a better place soon and that gives me hope.

Working on a theme

Filed: sitely

I’m working on November’s theme. I’m stuck between doing a fall themed layout or picking this cute background pattern that I’m in love with and making a theme based off of it. Maybe I’ll do both and bring the theme switcher back? Who knows. Any suggestions? I just know it won’t be celeb based because my celeb layout making mojo has died for a while. I don’t know what’s happened but I can’t make a celeb layout to save my life! It’s kinda sad.

Energy Saving Christmas Lights

Filed: review

My family is all about saving energy. Heck, we won’t even mention how expensive our power bill is each month so lately my mom has gone to great lengths to come up with ways to save money and energy. Yes, we even are using the energy efficient bulbs even though the ones I got were “daylight” bulbs and make my room look like my spaceship is coming to pick me up and take me back to my far off planet. Heh.

Anyways, the other morning my mom was telling me about LED holiday lights. I looked them up online and was surprised at all the advantages to using them. Per the website, if 20% Americans swapped to the LED lights during the 30-day holiday season, they would save enough energy to power 200 houses for a complete year. How awesome is that? I think everyone needs to be more energy efficient and for those that don’t see the point, don’t worry, LED lights have way more advantages than just saying energy. They are not heated which could save your house from burning up in a gulf of flames due to your regular light bulbs heating up your tree. They also come in a wide variety just like regular lights. The big clincher is they will last upwards of 50,000 hours unlike regular bulbs that last only 1,500 hours. So you save money in the long run and everyone loves saving money. The LED lights are also heavy-duty unlike the bulbs that are easily broken. I know in my household someone always manages to step on and break a few bulbs when we’re trying to put them all up.

So, remember, if 20% of Americans swap, we’ll save enough energy to power 200 houses for a whole year. Think of even more American’s swap over! So come on people, what are you waiting for? It’s time to save energy and make our world a lot better.

Toilet Paper Explosion

Filed: daily life

Jack decided to have a little toilet paper frenzy. Yes, ladies and gentleman, I woke up this morning to see little bits of toilet paper covering my floor. Evidently we had a minor toilet paper explosion while I was busy dreaming of God only knows what. Tsk, tsk. It’s sad when one has to sweep their floor before vacuuming.

It’s kind of funny because when I woke up and saw everything I immediately yelled Jack’s name. Poor pup, he came walking slowly into the room with his little head down and gave me his signature sad eyes. It broke my heart. I guess my dog knows how to manipulate me big time. I will have to take a picture and show you his sad eyes, it’ll make your heart melt. Now I suppose I should get that toilet paper up.

Virtual Office

Filed: review

We come from a time where businesses are popping up everywhere whether the owner has all the needed resources they need or not. Fortunately for those owners, Packet8 has made it easier for these owners to have the capabilities when it comes to Business VoIP that big businesses have without paying big prices. Packet8 has released Packet8 Virtual Office which brings high quality digital services with powerful features for small businesses without breaking the piggy bank.

The awesome thing about Packet8 Virtual Office is that you don’t have any expensive equipment to install and with it even includes unlimited nationwide and global calling. Can you imagine how much your bill would be if you used a traditional calling service for nationwide and global calling? I’m sure it’d be a pretty penny. The service is also hardware free and you can install it yourself without having to call, make an appointment, and wait forever and a day for a technician to get to your house and install your service only to find out that the technician shows up two hours late and forgot everything he needed to install your service. Yes, that has happened where I used to work. Was not fun and cost us business for that day. Also, Virtual Office supports multiple geographic locations and you can always add lines or upgrade your service at anytime. It has all the benefits of traditional calling service but more advanced without you having to pay for said advancement.

If you are a small business owner or know of one, I highly suggest for them to check out Packet8’s Virtual Office!
