Where has the time gone?

Is it just me or has the first half of December just flew by in a blur? I have been so busy getting everything together for Christmas, dealing with family issues, and settling stuff about next semester for school. I haven’t even mailed my Christmas cards because of this which makes me feel horrible! So if you are supposed to get a card from me, I swear I’m sending them tomorrow and please don’t hate me! I’m going through so much crap right now, crap that I don’t even want to go there on right now. I just need … a break. A break from drama and a break from bullshit.

That’s all I really have to say on that matter. I think Christmas is just a really depressing time for me because it reminds me of my grandma. I loved my grandma so much and I miss her each and every day but more so around Christmas. Tomorrow is the death anniversary of my uncle so my aunt and my mom are going to put flowers on his grave along with my grandma’s and grandpa’s. I don’t know if I can go see their graves. It still hurts too much. I try so hard to be happy for her because I know she’d want me to celebrate Christmas no matter what and be happy but it’s so hard doing all the traditional things we used to do together without her being here. I miss you, grandma.

With that said, I’m headed out. I’m dead tired. Today was filled with getting my hair dyed and cut along with trudging through the mall for Christmas gifts and then to Toys R Us as well. So yes, my feet hurt, my whole body hurts, and I’m dead tired. So later gator!

Happy Birthday Pat-Rice!

Filed: daily life

This Tuesday was a very stressful day in the morning. We were supposed to pick up cupcakes at Wal-Mart and take them by Selena’s school by 1:30 PM but unfortunately since I was still sick thanks to my new pills, we were a tad bit late. Actually, we were later since Wal-Mart messed up the cupcake orders but we had to take them anyways. Selena wanted Hannah Montana cupcakes and the icing was supposed to be bright colors but instead the icing color was just white and they weren’t cute at all. At least Miss Pat-Rice liked them. Pat-Rice is Selena’s nickname since Patrice is her middle name and she got on our nerves one day so we just started calling her that and now that’s all she wants to be called. Ha.

We didn’t celebrate her birthday Tuesday though. We are saving that for this weekend. She has all kinds of Hannah Montana and High School Musical goodies saved for her to open on Sunday! I also am taking her out to eat and to the movies on Sunday during the day before we go home and have her dinner, cake, and ice cream. I just want her to have a good birthday because she deserves the world. I just hope “the bitch” doesn’t start her crap.

Anyways, I’m tired and have a headache so I’m headed to eat dinner and lay down. This Yasmin is making me feel like crap! Ugh. Stupid side effects! Later gator.

Mother Nature, you suck!

Filed: daily life

First off, Happy Birthday to my step-dad, Keith!

The other night I had a weird stomach thing. Well here I sit with a gurgling stomach and those nasty, pukey burps. What the hell? Can’t a girl catch a break here?? Even though I don’t feel the best in the world, I’m excited because I started my new birth control this morning so goodbye period! Nice knowin’ ya while you lasted for freaking ever.

Now onto the blog topic, Mother Nature which at this point I hate. Last night Manda called me and invited me to go out to eat but I in return invited my mom which included Nicholas and Selena going as well. Manda wanted to get out of the house and I had stuff to do with my family so we rolled it all in one. I spent time getting dressed, putting on jeans and a tee shirt with a light jacket since it’s been so cold lately. I walk outside and BAM! It’s hot as heck outside. Yes, it was back up in the 60’s and today it was in the 70’s. Ugh. We decided on Olive Garden and boy was it very adventurous there.

For the past week or two, I’ve been talking to this guy named Jason. We’re just talking as friends since he isn’t from here (he’s in PA), but we have a lot in common. We are a like in a lot of ways which kind of freaks me out at times. Anyways, Jason is 6*5 which I was telling Amanda about. While we were talking, a family of little people (dwarves.. whatever you want to call them since they all prefer something different) walked up beside us. Well Manda, always the one with foot in mouth syndrome decided to say VERY loudly I might add, “Wow Kate, he’s gonna make you look like a munchkin.” I could have died because the girl just kind of looked at us because all she heard was munchkin. I kind of walked away from Manda for a second and then came back making her notice them. It was funny and a typical Amanda moment. That poor lady because not five minutes before my mom called her Selena and was talking to her because from behind she looked like my little sister. Selena walked off for a second so my mom was talking to the little person lady as she was Selena and then quickly apologized once she realized she wasn’t Selena. Dinner was very funny I guess you could say! The food was amazing and I think I got filled up on mostly breadsticks! Hehe.

Anyways, last night I went to bed with my fans on because it was so hot in my room from the temperature being hotter than normal. Well this morning I woke up with a sore throat from all of the cold air flowing in my room. Geez, I never can win with this freaking weather. I wish it’d just pick a season and stay that way, damnit. Later this week, it’s supposed to be close to 80. What the hell? It’s December for crying out loud!! Anyways, time for me to go drink some sprite and pray that this icky stomach feeling will go away. I absolutely hate throwing up! Later gators!!

Tag, Kate’s it.

Filed: daily life

Ok, I was tagged by the great Angela, so here goes!

The Rules
1. Link to your tagger and post these rules.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself: some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post and list their names and link to them.
4. Let them know they’ve been tagged by leaving a comment at their blog.

7 Facts About Me
1. For the longest time, I’ve had a severe fear of the dark. Not really the dark in general but the fear of being outside in the dark in an unfamiliar place.

2. I have never done drugs and I have never been drunk, tipsy a little but never full fledged drunk.

3. In my group of friends, I’m the innocent one. Ha, just because I have the mouth of a sailor sometimes does not make me a wild one!

4. I have THE biggest crush on the smart, nerdy types on crime shows like Dr. Reed off of Criminal Minds and Greg Sanders on CSI. *yummy*

5. I have a fear of drowning which stems from my birth. My mother almost drowned somehow, she’s told me hundreds of times but I can’t exactly remember correct terms.

6. I am addicted to buying books. Everytime I go in Wal-Mart, I do not come home with at least two books.

7. I am anti-phone except when it comes to talking to “special guys” on the phone. Ask my best friend, I never pick up my phone.. home or cell. People usually have to round me up by calling my mom’s line and making her make me talk. Heh.

You’re Turn!
Here are the 7 people I’ve tagged: (1) Aly, (2) Mango, (3) Metra (4) Mary (on your LJ!), (5) Padme, and anyone else that hasn’t done this since most of my lovelies have already!!

*whimpers* My arm is gonna fall off!

Filed: daily life

NOTE: I started this blog Friday night but saved it since I was so tired. So here I am on Saturday finishing it up.

Wow, I am completely and utterly exhausted. Last night I didn’t sleep much because I was really sick to my stomach thanks to all my sinus gunk draining down into my tummy. Plus, I was completely hooked on “New Moon” which is the sequel to “Twilight,” so in between puking my guts up I was in Edward heaven. Haha. I must say though, the sequel made me cry in some parts because Meyer has a way of completely getting you hooked and playing with your emotions through her words. She’s just awesome. So since I was sick, I didn’t sleep until like 4 AM. Any other day that would be fine because I would’ve been able to sleep late but not today!

This morning I had a doctor’s appointment at 11:15 AM and thankfully my mom woke me up at 10:30 AM so we had 15 minutes to get ready and leave before we’d be running late. We were right on time but the doctor’s office was running late and we didn’t get seen til almost noon. We didn’t even get out of the doctor’s office to leave until 1:30! The doctor basically refilled all my medicine but I had to get a flu shot and my blood drawn to check my thyroid levels. I have hypothyroidism and take medicine for it so I have to get my blood checked to make sure my medicine is correct. I had to get a flu shot as well. Yikes, that sucker has my arm so sore it’s not even funny. Lifting it hurts like a mofo and there is a knot where the medicine was injected. This happens every time I get the shot though. The lady that drew my blood was telling me about how she had the gastric bypass and now she doesn’t have so much trouble with her thyroid. Evidently she was 200 lbs. heavier almost two years ago and now she’s a whole new person.

After the doctor’s office, we had to book it to Atlanta to pick up my mom’s prescriptions and then drive back here in time for Beth to be at work on time at 4 PM. Wow, I hauled tail down to Atlanta! We have to pick the prescriptions up because one is for a morphine patch which you have to pick up in person. My mom used to go to a local pain management doctor but he was an ass which is why she started seeing the other doctor in Atlanta since she is so nice and very concerned when it comes to her patients. I hate the drive but our stop is right near Town Center so it’s nice to be able to stop and shop after her visits but we didn’t have time for that!

Luckily we had Beth meet us with the kids at Wal-Mart since we had to get all our prescriptions filled. It was going to take an hour and I was already dead tired once we got there so walking around Wal-Mart was not really that fun. We got what we needed for dinner, ordered my step-dad’s birthday cake, Selena’s cupcakes for her class, and looked at Christmas decorations. Finally, I sat down with the kids in the pharmacy area because I was tired and they wanted to sit with me instead of walking around so my mom could look at toys and stuff to price them! I seriously thought I was going to pass out from exhaustion since I barely got any sleep the night before and being in a car for three hours does not help at all!

Thankfully we got our prescriptions, headed home, cooked dinner, and watched TV before bed. The good thing is busy days mean I fall asleep easily and sleep soundly. It’s Saturday now so I feel a whole lot better but I have some cleaning to do and then headed to Wal-Mart to pick my step-dad’s cake up! Amanda (best friend) called and wanted to go out tonight but I have to pick Beth up from work since my mom’s car is acting wonky so scratch that. Honestly, I don’t feel like going out tonight. I wanna get my medicine started so I can hurry and get better. The doctor put me on Yazzmin or whatever for my period so hopefully it’ll be a whole lot better! I will be so happy to just not bleed for a whole three weeks! I know that sounds funny but oh well. Later gators!
