Business Dreams DO Come True

Filed: review

I honestly cannot tell you how much I’ve learned throughout my course of owning and running Hostaxia Web Hosting. It was a big step for me since I had never owned my own business never the less ran it and kept it going. Throughout the years there have been loads of issues with trying to work out all the kinks of balancing school, running Hostaxia, and then trying to have a life but I finally have everything going smoothly these days.

I personally think the biggest issue with running your own business is getting the start up cash. Think about it, even with a web hosting company you have to purchase the server, purchase a billing system, and then purchase any add-ons like Fantastico or what not. Thankfully, MeritCapital has taken this into consideration and is now offering business owners and upcoming entrepreneurs a unique alternative when it comes to financing your business called Fast Business Capital. With Merit Capital, they are willing to give you working capital based upon your future sales, not what you have now. They also have no fixed payment schedule and you pay them back when your customers start paying them. Its companies like Merit that make it possible for anyone to open their own dream business! Now that you got to love!

SaveBuckets

Seeing as I come from a household of six people and since everyone loves electronics, it’s very important for my mom and step-dad to find the best deals out there before buying anything. With today’s world being obsessed with all the mp3 players, game systems, and computers, it’s hard to buy for four children without breaking the piggybank especially around Christmas. The good thing is that there is a site SaveBuckets which helps you find great bargains year round.

With SaveBuckets, users can browse the site looking to compare prices and find the lowest price on virtually anything. The site is easy to navigate and features categories to browse through such as Consumer Electronics, Home & Garden, Computer Hardware, Electronic Games, Clothing, Sports & Leisure, and so much more. This is the perfect place for people with big families or really anybody to find things they have really been looking to get but not able to afford them without doing a little comparison shopping to find the best deal. I personally know myself, being a college student and trying to buy anything is quite hard since my money is limited right now. So thank goodness for sites like SaveBuckets which makes it possible for people like me to own the stuff that I do.

Thanks Biotene!

Almost anyone that knows me knows that this chick and pain absolutely do not mix, especially pain in my mouth. I have super sensitive teeth and my gums used to swell religiously because of my wisdom teeth. Evidently most of my family has sensitive teeth so at least I am not alone. The downfall to sensitive teeth is that I can’t use just any toothpaste. I use sensitive toothpaste for sensitive teeth which it is hard to find sensitive toothpaste that doesn’t taste horribly. Now c’mon, who wants to brush their teeth with nasty tasting stuff? Not I.

I can remember before I got my wisdom teeth pulled how much my mouth hurt. I used gels to stop the oral pain but that still didn’t heal it 100%. I just needed something to make the pain subside until I got it taken away. This is a time when Biotene would have come in handy. Biotene is not only sensitive toothpaste, it helps with all sorts of things including dry mouth, bad breath, inflammation, and bleeding gums. It doesn’t put a temporary band-aid on the problems either, it actually solves them. I was a skeptic when I first received a sample in the mail because I’ve heard of other toothpastes saying they will do the same thing and not only did they taste horrible, they didn’t do anything they promised. So I decided to try some over the weekend and let me tell you, after the first brushing with it, my gums did not bleed. I was amazed and the flavor was actually not disgusting. Thank Biotene for helping a girl out. In case you wanted to pick up some, here’s a picture of it beside my toothbrush. As you can see by the end of the tube, while I was trying to take a picture, Jack decided to play the role of bandit and snatch it! Naughty dog!

Time to keep fighting

I don’t know if you recall my past posts about the Alzheimer’s Walk, but now there is another way to support Alzheimer’s and help the fight to cure the awful disease. Since it’s the holidays, why not purchase gifts while making donations at the same time? Kill two birds with one stone so to say. At the Alzheimer’s Foundation eStore, you can do just that. Every purchase helps out the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. The holidays are the time of giving so why not give to a worthy cause?

I know my posts about Alzheimer’s might be redundant but I think this is a disease that effects a lot of people and families. If you’re not sure what it’s like, watch The Notebook. At the end when Allie forgets Noah all over again, did you see how it broke his heart? I know you’re probably saying, “But it’s just a movie,” and that is true. It might just be a movie but Alzheimer’s is real and things like that happen every day. Imagine all of your loved ones slowly losing all of their memories of the times they’ve shared with you and everyone else in their life, scary thought. This is why it is so important that those with the disease get the proper care and by purchasing items from the Alzheimer’s Foundation eStore will help make that happen just by buying a simple holiday gift. I’ve already done my part and purchased a necklace for my mom on her birthday since my grandma had Alzheimer’s and it’d be kind of an in memory of her gift. So if you haven’t, it’s time to do your part if you are able to!

The Mist

Filed: review

I have always been a Stephen King fan. In fact, when I was younger I used to spend Friday nights with my brother watching every horror movie by him imaginable. I still get goose bumps when I watch Pet Cemetery which was my favorite Stephen King movie. I know, novels are much better than the movies but the only book by Stephen King I’ve read was 1408 and I must say the book is WAY better than the movie! I love how his works always manage to capture you and have you hooked within the first ten minutes of reading or watching. He is the best thrill master by far. Other writers and screen writers have nothing on him.

I was excited to hear he has a new movie coming out called The Mist. The Mist is about when after a thunderstorm a town is engulfed in a mist. It centers on people who were trapped in a supermarket. I cannot imagine having a phenomenon happen and being trapped/stuck somewhere, unless it was at my house with plenty of food and water. I cannot imagine how terrifying it’d be to not be certain if you were going to make it or not. I’ve always had a fear of being trapped somewhere ever since the tornado demolished our house and we were basically stuck here until we found help so I’m sure Stephen King has made yet another awesome movie!

Its funny how he manages to write about things that real people have fear of whether it be things not dying or a phenomenon leaving you trapped and stranded somewhere. Either way Stephen King will always be awesome at what he does! I cannot wait to see The Mist by Stephen King! And for your viewing pleasure, check the trailer out below!
