My dog seriously must be physic or something. With all the discussion of redoing some things in our house and everyone making a list of things they’d like to change in their room such as new paint colors and stuff of that nature; Jack took it upon himself to tell me he wanted new blinds.

You see, my dog has a habit of sitting in windows and looking out the blinds. Well today I was in the living room sitting with my mom since I feel quite nasty thanks to a stomach bug, I heard Jack barking up a storm. Needless to say when I came in here later on I was quite upset. He broke my blinds!! Well at least one blind he broke in half. I am so irritated because I have this thing where if the blinds are open at night or what not, I get paranoid. I do not like darkness and never have. I’m not scared to go outside in my front yard at night but the thought of sleeping all night with someone being able to see in does scare me. I think I watch too much CSI.

So with the broken blinds, I decided to make a list of things I wanted to change in my room. I got a new comforter set back in September for my birthday but haven’t used it yet since my room is still painted hunter green. So on my list I have replacing my carpet with hardwood floors. I really like the bamboo hardwood floors. They look so serene and I really want my room to be a place I can sit back and relax. I want to paint the walls a lighter green or tan color. Not green green but maybe a light bright green like Torrence’s room in Bring It On. Sorry, that’s the only example I could think of. On my windows I’d like to replace my blinds with bamboo shades. Since I wanted bamboo floors why not have bamboo shades as well? I really want my room to be kind of like a chic beach cottage since that is my style. I already improved my room big time by putting pictures of my family and me and Rans everywhere. I’m slowly reclaiming my room, one step at a time.

So I guess there was no point to this post except to vent about my frustrations with my blinds. I really am dreading sleeping tonight. Maybe I can tape my blinds together in the middle until I can get a replacement blind of some sorts. Yes, great idea. I think I might see about swapping my blinds from my side window to my front window since the side window isn’t as long as the front window so they tear wouldn’t show up on the side. Hmm, I shall go see about that now!!

Jack decided to have a little toilet paper frenzy. Yes, ladies and gentleman, I woke up this morning to see little bits of toilet paper covering my floor. Evidently we had a minor toilet paper explosion while I was busy dreaming of God only knows what. Tsk, tsk. It’s sad when one has to sweep their floor before vacuuming.

It’s kind of funny because when I woke up and saw everything I immediately yelled Jack’s name. Poor pup, he came walking slowly into the room with his little head down and gave me his signature sad eyes. It broke my heart. I guess my dog knows how to manipulate me big time. I will have to take a picture and show you his sad eyes, it’ll make your heart melt. Now I suppose I should get that toilet paper up.
