I am in the “dark side” so to say. I still have not gotten better 100%, I was almost there and then I got caught out in the rain one day which led to me getting sick … AGAIN. I think a lot of this has to do with my medicine or the lack of taking it but when I do take it, I feel funny. My mom says it’s because my body adjusts and every time it is almost adjusted, I stop taking it. Yes, I’m being really irresponsible lately when it comes to taking care of myself but I am so sick and depressed with not getting better. My doctor told me to take Zyrtec and it is not working at all. I’ve even taken Sudafed, Nyquil, and other things the pharmacist has recommended but there’s no cure for the common cold, you can only treat it’s symptoms. Anyways, I just wanted to put something up here so I don’t go forever without a blog. I just don’t feel up to blogging. Seriously, since the boyfriend left Monday night, I have not been out of the house except for today since it was my siblings last day of school. Tomorrow is my niece’s and nephew’s, Chelsey & Riley, birthday party so I will obviously be attending the party bad mood or not. Things like that are important to me and I will regret not being there if I don’t go. Also, in June, the 21st through 28th to be exact, I will be on vacation. We booked us a beach house down in Gulf Shores. Evidently, we’re on this little section of the beach where in the back of the house there is the lagoon, and in front across the street there is the beach. I am looking forward to that. The boyfriend is coming with us and so is my cousin Donna who is my mom’s age. I’m headed to bed now since I have to wake up early to run to Wal Mart to get Chelsey’s toy. Lol. We already bought her a ton of clothes but what we were going to get her, someone else bought for her already so we have to make a swaparoo tomorrow morning. Maybe next time I blog I’ll be all chipper and the regular Kateness and if not, oh well. This is me, take it or leave it. So until next time, later lovelies! 1 CommentCommentors: Simply Precious Vacation please!Posted: March 7, 2008 @ 11:47 PM ESTFiled: daily life I am about to seriously hurt my siblings. They are driving me crazy. Selena searched our bookshelves and found a harmonica. Oh my goodness! That thing is so annoying and if you tell her to stop; she’ll stop for a few minutes and then start back up. My step-dad has the flu and my mom is lying down since we were gone all day shopping so Beth and I are in charge of the hellions. Lucky us, huh? This makes me realize how much I need a vacation. I seriously don’t care where so I found myself looking up everything from Las Vegas hotel reservations to Gatlinburg chalets. Kateness needs to go on a nice week vacation away from kids and chaos! 1 CommentCommentors: Simply Precious VacationingPosted: February 29, 2008 @ 03:46 PM ESTFiled: daily life When it comes to vacationing, my family usually sticks to somewhere close by since we have to take the two brats along. Sorry, usually I refer to them by name but today they have gotten on my last nerve. My mom was looking up a Branson condo earlier after hearing about Branson from a friend. I’m sorry but I would have never pictured myself going to Missouri on vacation but their condos are pretty nice. I’m a cabin or beach house chick myself but I guess if we were going without the kids a condo would do. It’s just when we go on vacation, space is a necessity so there aren’t any murders committed mid-vacation. So my question is have any of you lovely readers been to Branson? 0 CommentsCommentors: none Vegas Vacation + Cher!Posted: January 23, 2008 @ 03:51 PM ESTFiled: randomness When it comes to my musical taste, I am influenced greatly by what my mom likes since that is what I grew up listening to. Luckily, my mother has a very diverse musical repertoire. I grew up listening to everything from Clearance Clearwater Revival, Stevie Knicks, Otis Redding, to Cher. Yes, my mother has a soft spot in her heart for the oldies so she was elated when she received an e-mail from one of her friends this morning. See, for a while now, my mom has been desperately wanting to go on an all girly vacation. Well this morning, her friend e-mailed her to talk about a trip to Las Vegas which I think my mom could really use the down time to relax and just have a little fun. My mom never kicks back and puts her feet up because she’s always scrambling around worrying about all of us instead of herself. The trip would obviously include a trip to various casinos but the real kicker is to go see Cher who will be performing in a new show coming to Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Evidently she will be replacing Celine Dion which my mom would have loved to see her as well but I’m sorry in my mom’s opinion Cher takes the cake. So watch out Celine! Lol. So now, I have to look up Cher tickets Las Vegas to try to see when exactly they will be able to go. The show is set to start in May of 2008 which gives my mom and her friend adequate time to prepare for the trip and tie up any loose ends before they leave. I cannot tell you how excited I am for my mom. She really needs a vacation and I am definitely making sure they both book them a day at a spa! Mom could seriously use it!! 1 CommentCommentors: Chau « Previous Entries | |
