*whimpers* My arm is gonna fall off!

NOTE: I started this blog Friday night but saved it since I was so tired. So here I am on Saturday finishing it up.

Wow, I am completely and utterly exhausted. Last night I didn’t sleep much because I was really sick to my stomach thanks to all my sinus gunk draining down into my tummy. Plus, I was completely hooked on “New Moon” which is the sequel to “Twilight,” so in between puking my guts up I was in Edward heaven. Haha. I must say though, the sequel made me cry in some parts because Meyer has a way of completely getting you hooked and playing with your emotions through her words. She’s just awesome. So since I was sick, I didn’t sleep until like 4 AM. Any other day that would be fine because I would’ve been able to sleep late but not today!

This morning I had a doctor’s appointment at 11:15 AM and thankfully my mom woke me up at 10:30 AM so we had 15 minutes to get ready and leave before we’d be running late. We were right on time but the doctor’s office was running late and we didn’t get seen til almost noon. We didn’t even get out of the doctor’s office to leave until 1:30! The doctor basically refilled all my medicine but I had to get a flu shot and my blood drawn to check my thyroid levels. I have hypothyroidism and take medicine for it so I have to get my blood checked to make sure my medicine is correct. I had to get a flu shot as well. Yikes, that sucker has my arm so sore it’s not even funny. Lifting it hurts like a mofo and there is a knot where the medicine was injected. This happens every time I get the shot though. The lady that drew my blood was telling me about how she had the gastric bypass and now she doesn’t have so much trouble with her thyroid. Evidently she was 200 lbs. heavier almost two years ago and now she’s a whole new person.

After the doctor’s office, we had to book it to Atlanta to pick up my mom’s prescriptions and then drive back here in time for Beth to be at work on time at 4 PM. Wow, I hauled tail down to Atlanta! We have to pick the prescriptions up because one is for a morphine patch which you have to pick up in person. My mom used to go to a local pain management doctor but he was an ass which is why she started seeing the other doctor in Atlanta since she is so nice and very concerned when it comes to her patients. I hate the drive but our stop is right near Town Center so it’s nice to be able to stop and shop after her visits but we didn’t have time for that!

Luckily we had Beth meet us with the kids at Wal-Mart since we had to get all our prescriptions filled. It was going to take an hour and I was already dead tired once we got there so walking around Wal-Mart was not really that fun. We got what we needed for dinner, ordered my step-dad’s birthday cake, Selena’s cupcakes for her class, and looked at Christmas decorations. Finally, I sat down with the kids in the pharmacy area because I was tired and they wanted to sit with me instead of walking around so my mom could look at toys and stuff to price them! I seriously thought I was going to pass out from exhaustion since I barely got any sleep the night before and being in a car for three hours does not help at all!

Thankfully we got our prescriptions, headed home, cooked dinner, and watched TV before bed. The good thing is busy days mean I fall asleep easily and sleep soundly. It’s Saturday now so I feel a whole lot better but I have some cleaning to do and then headed to Wal-Mart to pick my step-dad’s cake up! Amanda (best friend) called and wanted to go out tonight but I have to pick Beth up from work since my mom’s car is acting wonky so scratch that. Honestly, I don’t feel like going out tonight. I wanna get my medicine started so I can hurry and get better. The doctor put me on Yazzmin or whatever for my period so hopefully it’ll be a whole lot better! I will be so happy to just not bleed for a whole three weeks! I know that sounds funny but oh well. Later gators!

I really hope you’ll get better soon. Period pain is really annoying. What is hypo thyroidism? Is it the same as thyroid?

I actually didn’t get much sleep Thursday night either, but it was because my sister was sick.

Wow, that’s crazy about the doctor running late, but ehh, I’ve seen it happen before, though. I HATE waiting!! And yep, shots ALWAYS makes my arm sore! I hope your arm’s better now!

Anyways, I’m glad that you’re feeling better now, and that you had a good night’s sleep! =)

Ooo! Yasmin! I’m supposed to start taking that next week to help with period pain/IC flares. I think I’m taking it continuously and throwing out the sugar pills though. Let me know how it goes for you!
